Following a potluck dinner, the meeting will feature a presentation by Rolling Stones member G. Lee Brown entitled "Rockhounding in the San Juan Mountains".
Lee received his Mining Engineering degree from The New Mexico School of Mines in Socorro. He had a 40 year career in mining and extractive metallurgy, and retired as Chief Metallurgist with the Concentrator, Chino Mines. Lee has been mineral collecting throughout the southwest, as well as Montana, Alaska and Georgia. He has special interest in the Kelly Mining District and Smithsonite.
