The Society's purpose is to exchange information, to further members' knowledge of mineralogy, geology, and the lapidary arts, to stimulate interest in the development of these studies, and to share this interest with the public.
Membership Meetings are held at 2045 Memory Lane, Silver
City, NM on the second Thursday of the month and doors normally open at
5:30pm.
Meetings alternate monthly between educational speakers
with the public invited and more casual gatherings that include a potluck
dinner, business meeting, rock draw and an educational or organizational
activity.
We are an all-volunteer organization--all our programs,
activities and events are created and managed by member-volunteers.
